The first group of participants will start from Vicenza on 1 September and will spend the day Thursday, September 2 the first stage along biking Empoli-Pisa, about 60 kilometers along the river Arno. Friday, September 3 the second group of participants from different cities of the Veneto and Italy, will join the rest of the delegation and attend the dinner at the Laboratory Rebelde.

“Per il nostro viaggio di quest’anno abbiamo scelto Pisa per un motivo molto semplice: a Camp Darby is currently one of the most secure 'big U.S. arsenals outside the U.S., "said Vania De Preto, a founder of Centodonnecentobici. "In many ways, for us it is incredible to think that tens of thousands of tons of ammunition and high explosives are housed a few miles from the Tower of Pisa," continues De Preto, "but clearly Pisa is no exception. In a world plagued by wars that kill hundreds of people every day, to promote a nonviolent culture is a way to help us in our future a little less violent and more 'right for everyone. Not only that, share this journey with associations such as Rebelde and the woman's house which for years has been actively building a "different world" is an occasion of great civic engagement and growth for all of us. "

As usual, in preparation for sliding in one month cicloviaggio Centodonnecentobici organized a series of training workshops, courses from the maintenance and repair tasks at the Workshop Cicletica Vicenza, followed by the encounter on gender stereotypes and the seminar organized by Gattorosso nonviolence by Cristina Banzato.
